Our office will be closed Thursday, July 18th and Friday, July 19th as our attorneys are attending the annual Kansas Women Attorney Association conference in Lindsborg, Kansas. This year’s conference theme is Laurel Thatcher Ulrich’s quote “Well behaved women seldom make history.” Continuing education courses will be offered on at least 18 different subjects! Our attorneys limit their practice to consumer bankruptcy, estate planning, and probate so they are looking forward to subjects covering Advance Directives, Guardian Ad Litems, Irrevocable Trusts, Financial Planning, Collections, Bankruptcy & Divorce, and Tax. However, it is also invaluable for our attorneys to attend courses covering Insurance Law, Legal Writing, Diversity, Immigration Law, and Criminal Law to ensure they are always learning and growing as representatives of the legal community.
The conference is also a great time to interact with fellow attorneys from all over the state to enlarge our referral network for areas outside of bankruptcy, estate planning, and probate. Our attorneys will have the opportunity to mingle with Judges from District Court, Kansas Appellate Court, Kansas Supreme Court to Federal Court.
Our attorneys will enjoy all the conference has to offer in the charming town of Lindsborg. Our attorneys will be back in the office on Monday, July 22nd with new insight and possibly a little less well behaved.
