Restarting Payments:
- You should receive your first bill at least 21 days before your due date
- Make sure that your contact information is up to date with your servicer and on StudentAid.gov
Repayment:
- Explore the many opportunities that are currently available to borrower’s currently
- You may qualify for $0/mo payments
- Find out if your loans NEED to be consolidated by the end of the year (FFEL)
- Compare repayment plan options using StudentLoan.gov’s Loan Simulator
Forgiveness:
- Review options for forgiveness that are currently available for borrowers
- You may qualify for forgiveness due to:
- public service
- disability
- time in repayment
- closed university
- other
- Depending on your situation, you may want to consider filing an Adversary proceeding within a Bankruptcy case to Discharge your student loans.
